GO FOR FREE, IN LUXURY
-- Weve found hundreds of free, secret and luxurious loos in central London, so you never have to hunt for a dirty old public convenience again. Why spend £0.30p at railway stations when there could be a free superloo in the ground floor of the luxury department store right across the street?
LONDONERS GO IN STYLE, EVERYWHERE
--Apply some lateral thinking and bingo! - London suddenly has hundreds of luxury public loos in museums, swanky hotel bars and department stores. Many of these superloos have pricey toiletries, linen towels, no queues and no evidence of any other visitors…isn’t that better than sneaking into a pub or cafe and hoping the owner doesnt see you?
WHO’S GOING TO KNOW?
--We’ve found nearly 300 central London loos you can use without anyone even noticing. Where needed, Toiluxe provides handy instructions so you can walk in confidently and know exactly where to head. Our intrepid investigators have personally visited these loos and selected only those locations that are either public buildings, or locations where the venue is necessarily open to the public e.g. hotels and museums.
RAPID RELIEF
-- Toiluxe knows where you are and knows where the nearest toilet is. No start-up screens to waste your time: fire up Toiluxe from your iPhone or iTouch and you’ll be shown the nearest central London loo in about 5-15 seconds.
Toiluxe is for all the frequent loo visitors of this world:
--pregnant women
--parents of kids who need the loo RIGHT NOW
--diabetics
--seniors
--the late-running sales rep
-- emergency services on call - they don’t have an office but they do have needs…
-- anyone who cant ask for directions because of language issues
FEATURES
--We’ve found lots of loos near Londons postcard sites for tourism and socializing e.g. Buckingham Palace, Oxford Street, London Eye and Soho.
--For the truly desperate, we’ve included public toilets. Theres also one or two fee-paying toilets, supermarkets, petrol stations and coffee shops as well. Future versions of Toiluxe will include all the London coffee bar chains that have a toilet in them, which you can filter out if youd rather go someplace a little less conspicuous and much more luxurious.
-- Opening hours, where published. If we have data on a particular locations opening hours and we know its closed, it wont appear in your search results.
IM VISITING FROM ABROAD - WILL I PAY BIG FEES TO MY PHONE COMPANY BACK HOME?
Toiluxe uses GPS, mobile signals and wi-fi. If you turn off "data roaming" on your iPhone then Toiluxe will still work using wi-fi, though you will need to be in wi-fi coverage (Central London has pretty good coverage).
FEEDBACK
--If you know of a loo we’ve missed then we’d love to hear from you. Mail us a link to its location using Google Streetview or Google Maps.
Although most of our toilet locations are within the Circle Line on the Tube, this version goes out as far as Richmond Park in the west, Hampstead Heath in the North and the City out East.
Future versions of Toiluxe will be based on a UK-wide wiki database. Watch out for our other great London-based apps coming soon.
